Rarity, She loves gems. Nuff said

This was going to be sold publicly but the ever lovely :iconwhitediamondsltd: swooped in and snatched her up! (along with the bust and another thing yet to be made) ^^ So congrats to her! I'm so glad that its going to her given her Rarity prowess/affinity.

I'll be making more of these full sculptures in the future~
So I hope you enjoy them.

Now, despite the low star count, I utterly adore this piece, and I only just realized that the best way to express this would be to give it a critique, as you requested.

Vision: DA tells me this is a measure of how well a deviation brings across a theme or idea. As much as I love this sculpture, I can't honestly say that it has much thematic weight. "Rarity looks sultry and makes me feel things that are strange and deeply confusing" is about as far as it goes.

Originality: Quite high, but I had to dock half a star simply due to the fact that there are other people who make sculptures, and of Rarity. Despite that, though, nobody I've seen makes them anywhere near as well as you do, or with such definitive style.

As well, this specific sculpture does transcend the "pony looking happy with zero context or background" that most pony art has. Rarity has a clear emotion that isn't generic happiness, as her pose indicates. The furniture/ribbon/banister/whatever she's sitting on is unique, and it really feels like something Rarity would have.

Technique: Though I can't admit to having seen many, you're easily the best sculptor I've seen with regards to ponies. This really does look and seem like Rarity given three dimensional form.

Impact: Again, low star count, but due to DA's definition, not your lack of skill. According to DA, impact is whether or not I feel strong emotions from a work, or how it blows my mind.

While I can say that pretty much every time I look at this, I literally go slack-jawed with wonderment, it (as before) doesn't evoke any strong emotions beyond SHE'S SO PRETTY. I could dig and find some hugbox fluff about how it's inspiring that the fandom has come so far, but I'm not the type to feel that sort of thing. Mileage may vary.

As a last note, I just wanted to mention that Rarity has four eyelashes on top and bottom of each eye, since she uses fakes. I definitely get why you went with the numbers you have, as this sculpture with the proper number would probably make her look downright uncanny.

All in all, wonderful work.
